Teaching

Our teaching groups are small and our staff are very experienced. Their expertise covers a wide range of different subjects that complement each other to deliver the whole of the National Curriculum - and more.
Everyone works together as a team with considerable flexibility and a broad depth of knowledge and experience, creating a stimulating environment from which the children can draw and benefit. The consistency in staff fosters a stable and familiar environment in which children thrive. Parents feel confident when speaking to the teacher, knowing we understand their child.
Technology plays an important role at our school, with children having access to laptops and iPads throughout the day to enhance their learning. Interactive white boards and visualisers are part of every day life for Bibury pupils.
We offer a choice of delicious organic hot meals cooked for us offsite by Caterlink. Roast day is particularly popular with both the children and the staff!
School trips involve everyone and this creates a real family atmosphere. There is no hiding and no one ever gets the chance to feel left out. Frequent whole school activities engender a happy, caring family atmosphere. Sport plays a big role in our school, with all the children enjoying working with professional coaches, both in their PE lessons and a range of multi-skills clubs. Every pupil, from Reception to Year 6, goes swimming once a week, every other term.
