Phonics

At Bibury C of E Primary School we use Essential Letters and Sounds (ELS) to deliver phonics teaching. Phonics is taught and assessed daily by skilled practitioners who ensure that no child is left behind in learning to read.

Please have a look at the links on this page which will show you how to support your child in pronouncing new sounds and blending these to read words.  More information will be given in phonics information evenings and through discussion with your teacher at the end of each school day as and when needed.
